This gesture of annoyance, no doubt fueled by the frustration of a cruel defeat, has been widely relayed and criticized on social media, where Internet users have deplored a lack of class contrasting with the intensity of the match.
For Tarik Sektioui, the essential is elsewhere. The coach continues to build an impressive record. After guiding the U23s to a historic bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, he now offers a major title to the local selection. A success that strengthens his position and makes him, in the eyes of many observers, the ideal candidate to one day take over from Walid Regragui at the head of the A team.
