At Tanger Med, Watermelons Concealed 350 Kilos of Cannabis
A shipment of watermelons was carrying 350 kilos of cannabis resin at the Tanger Med port. The 42-year-old Moroccan truck driver was arrested.
The seizure was carried out on Tuesday, August 4, during a joint operation by the National Security and customs services. The international transport truck bore Moroccan license plates.

Border inspections led to the discovery of the drugs, carefully concealed in the load of watermelons transported by the trailer.
The driver was placed at the disposal of the judicial police at the Tanger Med port. The investigation, conducted under the supervision of the public prosecutor’s office, is intended to determine the circumstances of this attempted international trafficking operation.
