UNESCO Chief Audrey Azoulay Emerges as Potential French Prime Minister Pick

Franco-Moroccan Audrey Azoulay , Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), could replace Jean Castex at Matignon, as newly re-elected President Emmanuel Macron plans to appoint a left-wing woman to this position. Valérie Rabault and former Manuel Valls chief of staff Véronique Bédague have already declined this offer.

Morocco Assumes Leadership of UNESCO's Arab Group for One-Year Term

Morocco replaces Egypt in the presidency of the group of Arab countries at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), for a one-year term. The handover ceremony between the two countries took place on Tuesday, at the Organization’s headquarters.
