The owners of shops and cafes in Azrou have sent a letter to the governor of Ifrane to denounce the actions of a group of young people in yellow vests. The latter, according to the letter, "extort money from motorists in the street."
A notary in Azrou was prosecuted for breach of trust and fraud. His client, a real estate developer, accuses him of having diverted funds intended to obtain a bank release.
Although he had a criminal record, a 23-year-old individual was arrested by the Judicial Police Brigade in the city of Azrou. The person is suspected of being the main person responsible for the theft of drugs and tablets from one of the offices of the city’s multi-disciplinary hospital.
Relatives and residents of a small village near Azrou are still in shock since the announcement of the death of a woman. The victim was slit by her husband and an investigation is currently underway by the gendarmerie.
