Drones, night vision, targeting: Indian group confirms deliveries to Morocco
Indian manufacturer Tonbo Imaging reveals that it has supplied equipment to clients in Morocco. Specializing in night vision, surveillance and military targeting, the company is also considering the local assembly of its technologies in certain foreign markets.
The information appears in the stock prospectus filed by Tonbo Imaging. The Indian group states that it delivered its products to clients in Morocco during the 2024, 2025 and 2026 financial years. As of March 31, 2026, its equipment was present in 24 countries.
Tonbo Imaging nevertheless reveals neither the identity of its Moroccan client, nor the value of the deliveries, nor the models involved. Its international clientele consists of armed forces, security services, law enforcement agencies and major defense manufacturers.

The company’s catalog includes thermal cameras, weapon sights, night-vision binoculars, targeting systems, night-driving equipment for armored vehicles and reconnaissance payloads intended for drones. Tonbo also develops guidance and fire-control components for precision weapons. However, the document does not establish which of these items were delivered to Morocco.
The company claims more than 28,000 tactical systems deployed worldwide. It also presents itself as India’s leading exporter of thermal imaging systems during the 2024-2026 period, accounting for 94.3% of units exported from India.
Morocco ranked among the fastest-growing military markets
The market report included in the prospectus ranks Morocco, along with the Philippines, Indonesia and Nigeria, among the most promising emerging markets for defense electronics. The combined value of these four markets is expected to rise from 918 million dollars in 2020 to 4.2 billion in 2030.
In the electro-optical and infrared sector alone, their combined market is expected to reach 361 million dollars in 2030. The report states that Morocco is notably acquiring surveillance systems for drones and observation towers as part of the modernization of its military capabilities.
This arrival comes as several Indian groups strengthen their presence in Morocco’s defense industry. Tata Advanced Systems is already producing armored vehicles in Morocco, while MKU is specifically considering an operation dedicated to night vision and ballistic protection.

Tonbo Imaging, for its part, explains that it can supply components and completely knocked-down kits to local industrial companies. These can then assemble and market the product under their own brand so that it is considered manufactured in the country.
The manufacturer confirms no operation in Morocco. But the combination of deliveries already completed, the expected growth of the Moroccan market and this local production model now makes it a credible candidate to support the development of the Kingdom’s military industry.
