Drug Gang Clash in Ghent: Tunisian Traffickers and Moroccan Youths Arrested
A fight between two Tunisian drug traffickers and two young Moroccans escalated on Sunday evening in Ghent, Belgium.
According to the Belgian media, three people were arrested by the police, who came in force to put an end to the conflict.
A police spokesman said the fight had broken out in a night shop. No injuries were recorded.
"Young people surprised the traffickers in the street. They called the police and the traffickers tried to flee, before hiding in the night shop. [...] It was the Tunisians who wanted to take revenge. [...] They even had butcher’s knives," recounts a witness.
An hour later, a man was slightly injured in another fight, a few meters from the site of the first altercation. For now, the police have not confirmed any link between the two incidents.
