For her private trip, Israel’s Transport Minister chooses Marrakech
Israel’s Transport Minister, Miri Regev, has chosen Marrakech for a private trip. Several senior officials from her ministry are also traveling with her, as Arkia’s direct flights to the Moroccan city resume after a three-year interruption.
Miri Regev is due to take the flight marking the resumption of the Tel Aviv–Marrakech route, reports Calcalist. The director general of the Transport Ministry, Moshe Ben Zaken, is notably among the participants.

The ministry specifies that this is not an official mission. The stay is private, and each person is personally covering their own expenses.
Arkia’s return to Marrakech
The trip coincides with the restoration of Arkia’s direct connection with Marrakech, suspended for three years. Arkia had announced the resumption of its direct flights to Marrakech after a lengthy interruption of its services to Morocco.
