The president of Algeria’s Council of the Nation, Azouz Nasri, launched a fierce attack on Morocco, accusing the “Moroccan Makhzen” of pursuing a project of “settler colonialism” in the region and harboring “expansionist ambitions.”
Algeria constantly sees the threat of the Moroccan external enemy everywhere. This time, it accuses Morocco of being behind the calls to demonstrate on its territory launched by the GenZ 213 movement.
The President of the House of Advisors and member of the executive bureau of Istiqlal, Enaam Mayara, declared on Friday that Morocco will eventually "recover the two occupied cities of Ceuta and Melilla", calling on Moroccans residing in Spain to form a "lobby" to help defend the homeland.
