Marhaba 2026 MRE Morocco Summer Return Assistance
The 2026 edition of the Marhaba operation starts this Wednesday, June 10 to oversee the summer return of Moroccans residing abroad. Until September 15, a vast assistance network will be deployed between Europe and Morocco.
Since midnight, the kickoff has been given simultaneously in France, Spain, Italy and Morocco. Initiated on the instructions of King Mohammed VI, this large-scale campaign is orchestrated by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity. To ensure smooth management of travelers, nearly 1,400 people are mobilized on the ground. Doctors, paramedical staff, social workers and numerous volunteers are ready to intervene to provide care and social assistance during arrival and return phases.

Travelers can rely on a tightened territorial network, composed of a total of 26 reception spaces. Abroad, six strategic port sites are activated: Marseille and Sète in France, Genoa in Italy, and Algeciras, Almería and Motril in Spain. On national soil, the system is built around twenty key points including the main airports of the territory, ports such as Tanger Med, various border crossings and several rest areas.

To effectively guide and assist vacationers, all medical-humanitarian interventions are coordinated from Rabat by a Central Coordination Office. This structure directly supervises deployed teams and manages the operation’s telephone assistance service. Accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, this switchboard provides users with a free green line in Morocco, as well as dedicated numbers for calls made from the three European transit countries.
