Migrant Assaults Deter Investment in Melilla, Vox Leader Claims
The president of Vox Melilla, José Miguel Tasende, stated that the "increasingly massive and violent" migrant assaults are not reassuring for businessmen who would like to invest in the autonomous city.
These migrant assaults on the Melilla fence are "disastrous" for the city’s economy, argues the Vox leader, who denounces the "hybrid strategy of Morocco" whose objective, according to him, is to "stifle" Melilla.

As a solution, Tasende called for legislative reform to facilitate the return of these migrants and to charge the costs related to these returns from the aid of the European Union and Spain to Morocco.
In the same vein, Javier Ortega Smith, secretary general of Vox, recently stated that these migrant assaults create insecurity and do not attract tourists and investors to Melilla.
