On October 13, Salaheddine Mezouar, then President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), had sent, by email, to all his collaborators, his letter of resignation from his position as head of the employers’ organization. An unexpected resignation that came a few hours after a scathing reprimand from the Government towards the boss of bosses, following remarks he had made about the current situation in Algeria, on the occasion of a conference organized as part of the World Policy Conference in Marrakech.
