Moroccan Imam's Sentence Reduced to 3 Months for Protest Incitement
Accused of inciting his peers to demonstrate, imam Saïd Abou Ali, in detention, saw his sentence reduced on appeal to three months in prison.

This is what his lawyer Me Mohamed Nouini announced to AFP, specifying that he must be released from prison on November 24.
To recall, Imam Abou Ali, former director of a Koranic school in Guelmim, had been sentenced in the first instance in September to two years in prison, in particular for having denounced a decision to suspend him from his duties as imam of a mosque in Guelmim, according to his lawyer, and for having called on imams and religious officials to protest against their financial and social conditions.
