Morocco and Belgium want to deepen military ties in 2027
Morocco and Belgium have begun planning their joint military activities for 2027. The two armies are planning, in particular, training, exchanges of expertise and new joint exercises.
The military cooperation commission between the Royal Armed Forces and the Belgian army met on September 22 and 23 at the Officers’ Club in Rabat, according to a statement published by the FAR on X.
The delegations first reviewed the activities carried out in 2026, before examining next year’s program. Three areas were selected: military training, sharing experience and joint maneuvers.

This program is intended to help military personnel from both countries better coordinate their methods and strengthen their operational capabilities.
An established military partnership
The defense relationship between Rabat and Brussels is based in particular on a technical military cooperation agreement signed in 1992, concluded for an unlimited term.

The FAR have not specified the number, locations or schedule of the exercises planned for 2027. These details will have to be finalized at upcoming meetings between the two armies.
