Morocco Buys Drones from a Manufacturer That Equips Israeli Special Forces
Morocco is among the foreign clients of Aero Sentinel, an Israeli manufacturer of intelligence drones. The company also equips special units of the Israeli army and is now seeking to accelerate its production.
Aero Sentinel generates about half of its sales abroad, notably from clients in Morocco, the Netherlands and Japan, Globes reports. The Israeli media outlet does not specify either the number of drones purchased by Morocco or the models involved.

The manufacturer highlights an endurance of 80 to 90 minutes, approximately twice as long as that of many competing aircraft, according to the company.
Drones Also Used by the Israeli Army
In Israel, Aero Sentinel’s aircraft are used by special army units for intelligence missions, as well as by the police. However, nothing indicates that the drones sold to Morocco have the same equipment or are intended for the same missions.
Aero Sentinel now wants to move from producing a few dozen drones each month to much higher output, with a target of 1,000 aircraft per year by 2029.

This expansion comes a few months after its factory in Petah Tikva was destroyed by an Iranian missile. The company has since relocated to Tel Aviv and says that less than 5% of the components in its drones are now Chinese.
