Morocco's COVID-19 Cases Surpass 700, Death Toll Rises to 44
The covid-19 epidemic continues to progress in Morocco, bringing the number of people tested positive to 708.
According to the Ministry of Health, the bar of 700 cases has been exceeded, with the recording this Thursday at 9 p.m. of 17 new patients tested positive for covid-19.
Furthermore, the number of people declared cured is 31, while the number of deaths due to the coronavirus is now 44.
With a total of 207 cases, Casablanca-Settat remains the region most affected by the coronavirus in the kingdom. The regional breakdown is as follows: Marrakech Safi (127), Rabat Salé Kenitra (115), Fès-Meknes (113), Tanger Tétouan Al Hoceima (47), the Oriental (35), Beni Mellal-Khénifra (23), Daraa-tafilalet (20), Souss-Massa (18), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (2) and Guelmim Oued Noun (1).
As for the Dakhla-Oued Ed Dahab region, it remains spared from this covid-19 epidemic for the time being.
