Morocco's COVID-19 Cases Top 6,000 as Recovery Rate Climbs to 42%
The new COVID-19 report in Morocco shows 6,063 confirmed cases (+153), 2,554 recoveries, 188 deaths, 59,861 excluded cases and 3,321 active cases. According to the Ministry of Health, the case fatality rate, after a downward trend, is stable at 3.1% with 188 people deceased since March 2, the date of the first recorded case.
Contrary to the death toll, the recovery rate continues to rise. Over the past 24 hours, Morocco has recorded 93 new remissions, for a total of 2,554 and a recovery rate of 42.12%.
Only 7 regions are affected by the 153 new infections, with Rabat-Salé-Kénitra in the lead: 549 cases (+47), followed by Fès-Meknès with 847 cases (+43), Casablanca-Settat with 1,610 (+31), Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma with 887 cases (+15), Marrakech-Safi with 1,189 (+14), Souss-Massa with 69 cases (+2), Béni Mellal-Khénifra with 105 cases (+1).
