Morocco Driving Schools: New Requirements and Higher Bonds
Conditions for opening a driving school could be significantly tightened in Morocco. The provisional bond would increase from 20,000 to 100,000 dirhams, while each establishment would need to own at least two training vehicles.
These measures are among the proposals that reached consensus during a meeting between the National Road Safety Agency and sector representatives. However, their implementation remains conditional, for some, on the adoption of new regulatory texts.

The provisional bond required when applying for authorization would thus be multiplied by five. A final bond of 100,000 dirhams would then need to be maintained for the two years following the granting of approval.
Two Cars to Purchase Mandatory
Another major change: driving schools would no longer be able to use rental vehicles. They would need to own at least two light vehicles, which would further increase the investment required to enter the profession.
Future operators would also be required to demonstrate sufficient financial capacity, install a computer system connected to NARSA services, and use only approved educational materials. Driving simulators could also be integrated into training.
The reform is not limited to opening conditions. The minimum duration of theoretical instruction could increase from 20 to 30 hours, while the deadline for submitting exam applications would be extended to 30 days.
