Morocco Eases Vehicle Regulations for Stranded Expats and Tourists Amid COVID-19 Border Closures
An exceptional measure, relating to the temporary entry of tourist cars registered abroad, was announced on Wednesday by the Customs and Indirect Taxes Administration (ADII).

In a press release, the Customs and Indirect Taxes Administration now authorizes Moroccans living abroad and foreign tourists with tourist vehicles imported under the temporary admission regime to "exceptionally regularize the situation of their vehicles, out of time without legal consequences".
This measure comes more than a month after the temporary closure of borders imposed by the covid-19 health crisis. As a result, more than 18,000 Moroccans find themselves stranded in several countries around the world.
