Morocco Emerges as Budget-Friendly Alternative to Oktoberfest for German Travelers
The German travel agency, Tourlane, offers Morocco, one of the "exotic" destinations for Germans, instead of the German Beer Festival, Oktoberfest, for holidays.
A conclusive study for the leading online travel agency for personalized vacations, Tourlane. The study focused on the cost of a weekend at Oktoberfest and surprising destinations that are cheaper than a weekend at Oktoberfest.
Based on the costs of accommodation, round-trip flights, public transportation, food, drinks, activities and souvenirs, the price per person for a weekend at Oktoberfest is estimated at €1,356.56, according to Tourlane’s press release.
Among the agency’s alternative "exotic" destinations are Mauritius, Panama, the Seychelles, Jordan and Morocco. "Ultimately, a weekend of beer tasting costs Germans more than a week’s vacation in this beautiful country that is Morocco," says Tourlane.
The study indeed reveals that a one-week stay in Morocco costs from €835 per person. The travel prices per person per week include round-trip flights, 7 nights’ accommodation, breakfast and car rental via Casablanca, Rabat, Meknes, Fez and Marrakech.
As for beer, Germans can still enjoy it for only €17.78 instead of €47.20. "For a third of the price, you can live a fairy tale called ’A Thousand and One Nights’," the Agency assures.
