Morocco Expands Gold Exploration, Grants Canadian Firm 4 New Permits
Four new exploration permits have been granted to the Canadian gold company Stellar AfricaGold Inc. near the area where it had recently discovered gold in Tichka Est.
In a press release, the company announced that it has signed with the Moroccan National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM) a clause to the exploration agreement of August 18, 2020, granting it four new permits added to the initial project, noting that these new authorizations bring to 7 the number of permits held by the company, all over a total exploration area of 82 square kilometers.
"Two of the four additional permits are strategically located in relation to the two gold structures A and B, recently discovered thanks to Stellar’s extensive prospecting and trenching programs," it was emphasized.
According to the figures, the first trenches of the gold zones A and B showed a grade of 3.36 grams per ton of gold over 10 meters, including a grade of 8.73 g/t of gold over 3 meters in zone A. In zone B, the displayed grade is 4.55 grams per ton of gold over 15 meters, including a peak of 7.47 g/t of gold.
