Morocco Flight Delays: Missing Signature Document Requirements
Incomplete parental authorization or power of attorney can prevent a minor from boarding a plane in Morocco. A parliamentarian is calling for legalization counters in airports to allow families to regularize documents found to be missing just before departure.
The problem particularly concerns children traveling alone, with a relative or, depending on their situation and destination, with only one of their parents. A travel authorization or power of attorney bearing a legalized signature may then be required.

However, some families only discover this requirement at the time of check-in or control. Without the possibility of immediately legalizing the signature, they risk missing their flight despite valid passports and tickets.
Parliamentary advisor Khalid Satti asked the Ministry of Interior to study the opening of permanent legalization and certification offices in Moroccan international airports.

These counters would urgently process travel authorizations for minors, parental powers of attorney and other administrative documents related to travel.
