Morocco French visas 2025: 300,000 granted, second worldwide
Moroccan nationals obtained 300,104 French visas in 2025, representing a 6.1% increase compared to the previous year. Morocco becomes the second largest beneficiary country, behind China.
France issued exactly 300,104 visas to Moroccan nationals in 2025. They represent 10.1% of the nearly 3 million visas granted by French authorities during the year.

Morocco ranks second globally, behind China, which totals 557,347 visas. It surpasses India with 239,327 visas and Algeria with 204,243.
However, the dynamics differ significantly between the two Maghreb countries. Issuances to Moroccans increased by 6.1%, while those granted to Algerians fell by 18.3%.
Moroccans lead for long-stay visas
The vast majority of documents granted to Moroccans are short-stay visas. Their number reached 267,559, compared to 185,871 for Algerians and 100,935 for Tunisians.
Moroccans also hold first place for long-stay visas, with 32,544 issuances. This category represents 10.8% of all French visas obtained by kingdom nationals.

According to French Interior Ministry data, 40.5% of these long-stay visas were issued for studies or internships. Economic reasons account for 28% and family reasons 26.9%.
