Morocco Highway Project Tétouan Al Hoceïma Investment
The Minister of Equipment and Water, Nizar Baraka, announced on Monday the launch of a study for a highway connecting Tétouan to Al Hoceïma. The long-awaited Tétouan-Chefchaouen axis project is meanwhile entering its final phase.
The delays accumulated on the Tétouan-Chefchaouen link are explained by a small dam project in this area. Facing deputies of the House of Representatives, the minister assured that he had accelerated the pace by initiating the final stage of work this week. This offensive aims at a specific goal: breaking isolation in provinces to attract investments and impose genuine territorial justice.

Coastal development is also reaching a new milestone with the official study of a highway between Tétouan and Al Hoceïma. To complete all these major regional projects, including the completion of the coastal ring road, Nizar Baraka revealed that his ministry is now turning to international financing.
