Morocco appears in a South Korean report as a strategic client or prospect. Anti-aircraft missiles, submarines, naval industry: Rabat is expanding its military options, away from its usual suppliers.
Morocco is increasingly attracting South Korea’s military industry. In a bulletin published on June 8, Eugene Investment & Securities lists the kingdom among the files monitored by Seoul’s major defense groups, alongside other markets considered promising for South Korean exports.

The report mentions a specific acquisition: 101 Shingung missiles and 50 launchers from LIG Nex1. This portable air-to-ground system is designed to target low-altitude aircraft. For Rabat, it represents additional reinforcement in short-range air defense.
The most sensitive issue, however, remains that of submarines. According to the same document, Spain is no longer part of the Moroccan competition, now narrowed down to three countries: South Korea, Germany, and France. The kingdom is thus moving toward a capability it does not yet possess.
