Moroccan orange exports to Germany are recording unprecedented volumes for the 2025-2026 season. This exceptional momentum is reshaping a market traditionally dominated by Spain and bringing Morocco closer to the top 5 suppliers.
The German citrus market, until now under Spain’s near-total grip accounting for nearly three-quarters of demand, is witnessing a redistribution of power. After years of a presence considered minor, Moroccan production is asserting itself spectacularly. Midway through the season, shipments have already surpassed those from Egypt, even though this competitor’s sales are also rising.
