Morocco Passport Ranking 2024: 15-Country Lead Over Algeria
The Moroccan passport confirms its first place in the Maghreb. Ranked 67th globally, it allows access to 71 destinations without obtaining a visa before departure, compared to only 56 for the Algerian passport.
Morocco now surpasses Algeria by thirteen places in the latest Henley & Partners ranking. The Algerian passport occupies the 80th position worldwide, with fifteen fewer accessible destinations than its Moroccan neighbor.

Tunisia remains closer to Morocco. Its passport ranks 71st and opens the doors to 67 destinations, just four fewer than the Moroccan document. Morocco nevertheless maintains the lead in the Maghreb, ahead of Tunisia, Algeria and Mauritania, the latter sharing the 80th place with Algeria.
Fifteen destinations gap
The ranking does not only count countries with complete visa exemption. It also includes destinations where travelers can obtain a visa on arrival or an electronic authorization that does not require prior approval before departure.
On a global scale, Singapore maintains first place with 192 destinations. The United Arab Emirates achieve the most spectacular progression and join Japan and South Korea in second place, with 188 accessible destinations.
