Morocco Pharmacists Warn of Drug Shortages Amid COVID-19 Prescriptions
The risk of a stock shortage of certain therapeutic classes, indicated in chronic diseases, is of great concern to the National Syndicate of Pharmacists of Morocco.

The pharmacists’ fear stems from the excessive prescription of certain medicines for chronic diseases to patients with Covid-19.
In a letter addressed to the Minister of Health, Khalid Ait Taleb, the Syndicate expressed its concern about the observed decrease in the stock of certain molecules in the shelves of pharmacies.
To address this setback, pharmacy managers have invited the minister to publish a note authorizing them to substitute equivalent medicines for the prescribed treatments.
