Morocco Reports 123 New COVID-19 Cases, Total Rises to 5,661
123 new infections were recorded in Morocco this Friday, May 8 at 10 a.m., bringing the number of confirmed cases to 5,661.

The number of people cured in the kingdom continues to rise. To date, Morocco has 2,302 cases of recovery against 183 deaths due to covid-19. The mortality rate continues to decline and is now 3.37%. In addition, 52,931 cases have been excluded after negative laboratory tests, and 3,174 cases are still under treatment.
With these new figures, the Casablanca-Settat region still has a record infection rate of 27.22% (1,541).
As for the Dakhla-Oued Ed Dahab and Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra regions, no more cases of contamination have been recorded since the very first ones recorded in these regions.
