A study by the National Authority for Integrity, Prevention and the Fight against Corruption (INPPLC) paints a worrying picture of corruption in Morocco .

The President of the National Authority for Integrity, Prevention and Fight against Corruption, Mohamed Bachir Rachdi, said that King Mohammed VI is "dissatisfied" with the alarming proportions that corruption is taking in the kingdom, despite the legal arsenal put in place and the efforts made to strengthen the fight against this phenomenon.

As part of an effective fight against corruption, Bank Al-Maghrib and two other key institutions in the financial sector, in partnership with the National Anti-Corruption Authority (INPPLC), met on January 18th for the annual review meeting of the anti-corruption cooperation agreement in the financial sector. Among other resolutions, the participants decided to strengthen the capacities of the sector’s stakeholders for good management of the risk of corruption in the financial sector.

The National Authority for Integrity, Prevention and the Fight against Corruption (INPPLC) chaired by Mohamed Bachir Rachdi proposes a new dynamic for the fight against corruption in Morocco. This is the main point to be remembered from its first annual report.

Morocco has made the fight against corruption a national priority. In this sense, the kingdom has equipped itself with a sophisticated legal arsenal and is also striving to implement several prevention and repression measures, including the adoption of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy (2015-2025).
