The Moroccan justice system has carried out precautionary seizures of the assets of many local elected officials and parliamentarians, in order to force them to pay several million dirhams unduly received or embezzled from the State, following judgments.

The President of the National Rally of Independents (RNI), Aziz Akhannouch, called for "fighting economic crime in order to allow Moroccan companies to create wealth and jobs". This was during an intervention in front of more than 45,000 activists where the man lambasted those who put obstacles in the way of young entrepreneurs.
A bill, currently being studied by the Ministry of Public Service and Administrative Reform, will soon be presented to the Council of Government. This law will have the merit of granting new fathers a one-month paternity leave after a revision of administrative authorizations.
Tayeb Bencheikh, former Moroccan Minister of Health, died on Sunday night into Monday from a long illness. He was 81 years old.
