The head of Moroccan diplomacy, Nasser Bourita clarified in a press statement the American recognition of the Moroccanness of the Sahara. He specified that it was not made in exchange for the normalization of relations between Morocco and Israel.

El Al and Israir, the two Israeli airlines, have stated that they could soon establish direct flights between the two countries.
