Olympic Champion El Guerrouj Calls for Action After Anti-Morocco Chants at CHAN 2022
The former Moroccan athletics champion, Hicham El Guerrouj, has in turn condemned the attacks against Morocco during the opening ceremony of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2022 currently taking place in Algeria.

Last Sunday, CAF announced its intention to "conduct investigations" into the statements of Nelson Mandela’s grandson and the insults chanted by Algerian supporters against Morocco.
For the Moroccan champion Hicham El Guerrouj, in a message posted on his Twitter account, CAF should not stop at a simple press release given the nature of the remarks. "You must take action, not issue press releases," he said.
