No one wanted it in the first tender, so ONCF relaunches its five stations for 462 million
ONCF had set this Thursday, September 24, at 9 a.m., as the deadline for a new tender for five stations between Benguerir and Marrakech. The contract is estimated at 462.288 million dirhams, including tax. The first tender received no bids.
The package includes a high-speed rail station in Benguerir’s Green City and four RER stations: a second one in the Green City, followed by those in Sidi Bou Othmane, Sidi Ghanem and the Grand Stade de Marrakech. The Sidi Bou Othmane and Sidi Ghanem stations are notably intended to serve the industrial zones.
These five sites were already included in the international tender launched by ONCF in 2025 for its stations and technical centers. The new tender brings them together in a single package covering the construction of the buildings and platforms, passenger passageways, as well as electrical and safety equipment.
The first procedure concerning these five stations was declared unsuccessful in August due to a lack of bidders. On September 22, MEED reported that companies were preparing their proposals for the new deadline. No published report yet makes it possible to say how many actually submitted a bid.
