Moroccan Expats Denied Voting Rights Despite Economic Contributions

Despite their citizenship and the rights guaranteed by the Constitution, Moroccans Residing Abroad (MREs) have always been deprived of the right to vote in Morocco. 12% of the Moroccan population cannot participate in municipal and legislative elections, despite their importance on economic and commercial levels.
