The harvest calendar will follow its usual course across the country. After Zagora, the fields of Agadir and Chichaoua will take over before moving up to the northern regions. However, farmers remain vigilant in the face of phytosanitary risks and climatic hazards, scarred by the storms of the previous season.
The abundance of supply has an immediate impact on prices at the farm gate. Prices are currently halved compared to periods of severe drought. This significant drop strengthens the competitiveness of Moroccan watermelon internationally, as the first German orders have already been recorded.
