The Rabat Zoological Garden, considered one of the major attractions of Morocco’s cultural and tourist landscape, has implemented a series of measures to ensure the well-being of its animals suffering from the heat wave.
About four months ago, the Rabat Zoological Garden saw the birth of five new Atlas lion cubs, belonging to a species extinct in the wild. They add to the 29 lions already living on the 25 hectares of this space.

Even though the state of health emergency has led to the closure of several establishments open to the public like the Rabat Zoological Garden, the well-being of the animals has been taken into account through a health monitoring carried out by the veterinary and zootechnical staff of the establishment.
The official opening ceremony of the vivarium of the Rabat National Zoological Garden mobilized people around Princess Lalla Khadija this Friday. The latter presided over the inauguration of this jewel which has an impressive number of animal species.
The Rabat Zoo will soon welcome a new vivarium that will be entirely dedicated to the presentation of different species of African reptiles.
