Return from Morocco: the easyJet strike could be called 48 hours before your flight
Travelers due to return from Morocco with easyJet could face disruptions for nearly a month. Cabin crew based in France have filed notice of a strike from August 7 to September 2.
The notice concerns all easyJet France cabin crew, across all bases. It therefore covers a particularly busy period, marked by holiday returns and the many trips between Morocco and France.

However, this does not mean that crews will stop working every day for nearly a month. The SNPNC-FO, UNAC-CFE-CGC and UNPNC-CFDT unions have chosen a very broad strike notice in order to organize several days of mobilization.
The dates selected will be announced 48 hours in advance. Travelers may therefore not know what will happen to their flight until just a few days before departure, even though no cancellations between Morocco and France have yet been announced.
According to Ouest-France, the unions have been denouncing deteriorating working conditions for nearly a year, without receiving a response from management that they consider sufficiently concrete.

Staff representatives are particularly challenging the instability of schedules, last-minute changes, temporary assignments to other European bases and certain rotations considered especially exhausting.
A first social alert filed on July 24 had been suspended because of the major fires in Gironde, so as not to further complicate travel for those affected. The unions relaunched the movement after the situation stabilized.
EasyJet says it has proposed measures to address its crews’ concerns. The airline says it is disappointed by the filing of the strike notice and is asking the unions to withdraw it, describing the movement as counterproductive during the peak summer season. Negotiations are already scheduled for September.
The strike notice could still be withdrawn if an agreement is reached. Otherwise, the unions will call on cabin crew to mobilize massively on certain days, with a risk of delays and cancellations.

Passengers who have booked a return from Morocco during this period should regularly monitor their reservation and the status of their flight. EasyJet recommends using its app or online tracking tool to obtain real-time information. In the event of a cancellation, the airline notably offers a choice between changing the flight, receiving a voucher or obtaining a refund.
