France to Repatriate 35,000 Ancient Artifacts to Morocco After Customs Seizure

35,000 ethnographic pieces consisting of stone tools and organic remains, illegally removed from Morocco and seized by French customs, are about to return home. The Ministry of Culture and Communication is finalizing the procedures to recover them.

Collecting donations for the repatriation of deceased Moroccans abroad is now prohibited by the Kingdom of Morocco, which fully assumes this operation, hammered Abdelkrim Benatiq, Minister of Moroccans Residing Abroad and Migration Affairs.
