Saïdia is getting a makeover to welcome Moroccans Residing Abroad (MREs)
The city of Saïdia is actively preparing for the summer season of 2026. The local authorities held a coordination meeting to anticipate the influx of tourists, particularly MREs, improve public services, and address the shortcomings of previous years in the seaside resort.
The local authorities have developed a participatory strategy. This meeting redefined the organization of water sports activities. The deadline for submitting operating requests has been extended until April 15, 2026, with priority given to applications from the "Saïdia Youth Platform".

The local decision-makers have also approved the regularization of unauthorized businesses and the integration of better-adapted waste containers. These strict measures aim to avoid the cleanliness issues raised last summer by visitors to the marina. Strengthened price control will accompany the new cultural and sports entertainment program.
In parallel, the municipality is deploying a large-scale preventive mosquito control operation to preserve the city’s attractiveness. This ambitious plan mobilizes a financial envelope of around five million dirhams. The municipality is directly contributing 2.65 million dirhams while providing all the logistical support for the field interventions.
