Moroccan-Born Samira Tayebi Elected First Female Mayor of Clichy-sous-Bois, France
Samira Tayebi has moved from first deputy mayor of Clichy-sous-Bois (Seine-Saint-Denis) during a city council meeting held on Saturday, December 3. She thus becomes the first woman elected to head the city since 1947 and the first mayor of Moroccan origin in France.
