Strong Winds and Sandstorms Prompt Weather Alert Across Morocco
The General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) announced that strong winds, blowing between 70 and 80 km/h, sometimes accompanied by sandstorms, are expected for Tuesday and Wednesday in several regions of the Kingdom.
This Tuesday, until 4 p.m., these winds will affect the provinces of Assa-Zag, Tan-Tan, Boujdour, Laâyoune, Tarfaya, Es-Semara and Oued Ed-Dahab, according to a special bulletin issued by the DGM, which has raised the level of vigilance to orange.
On Wednesday, the provinces of Chtouka-Aït Baha, Tiznit and Sidi Ifni will also be affected by even stronger winds, reaching 80 to 90 km/h, from 3 a.m. to 5 p.m. At the same time, the provinces of Assa-Zag, Guelmim, Tan-Tan, Laâyoune, Tarfaya, Boujdour, Es-Semara and Oued Ed-Dahab will be affected again by winds of 70 to 80 km/h, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
