Strong Winds Disrupt Air Travel Across Morocco's Major Airports
The bad weather experienced by Morocco on Friday, particularly the strong gusts of wind, caused disruptions in air traffic.
In a press release, the National Airports Office (ONDA) details the disruptions at Moroccan airports:
• Four arriving flights were diverted and two departing flights were canceled at Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca;
• Six arriving flights were diverted, five departing flights were canceled, and one flight was delayed at Ibn Batouta Airport in Tangier;
• One flight was diverted and one flight was canceled at departure at Angad Airport in Oujda,
• Three flights were diverted to other airports and 2 flights were canceled at departure at Saniat R’mel Airport in Tetouan;
• several flights were canceled at departure at Cherif Al Idrissi Airport in Al Hoceima.
