Tanger Med MRE Access Rules Marhaba 2026 Port
Tanger Med is changing its rules during Marhaba 2026. Since July 15, access to the passenger terminal is reserved for travelers with a confirmed ticket for the same day.
MREs planning to arrive very early at Tanger Med will need to reconsider their plans. The port has implemented new measures to prevent traffic congestion and limit crowding at the passenger terminal during Operation Marhaba 2026.

Since July 15, access to the maritime station is limited to travelers with a confirmed ticket for the same day. Passengers without a confirmed ticket, or with a reservation needing modification, are invited to settle their situation before presenting themselves at the port.
According to Tanger Med authorities, this measure aims to better organize traffic flows and improve reception conditions for Moroccans residing abroad during periods of high traffic.
No ticket for the day, no access
The port recommends travelers to prepare their journey in advance and consult traffic forecasts before hitting the road. MREs without a confirmed ticket must contact their shipping company to confirm or modify their departure.
For those already on the way, Tanger Med has set up information points. Travelers can confirm or change their reservation at the MRE reception center at the Tanger Med rest area, or, if necessary, at the Aïn Chouka station, near Ksar Sghir.
These modifications remain dependent on available spaces with shipping companies. The port therefore insists on the importance of not presenting directly at the terminal without a valid ticket for the travel day.
The measure comes as the second half of July and the month of August are expected to be very busy. Tanger Med provides traffic forecasts to help travelers avoid peak times.
