The United States includes Morocco in a new $31 million contract with Lockheed Martin
The US Air Force has just awarded Lockheed Martin a new $31.29 million contract for engineering and technical assistance services. Morocco is among the ten foreign countries concerned.
The contract, announced on August 17, is for exactly $31,291,904. It was awarded without competition to Lockheed Martin, in Fort Worth, Texas, according to the official US release.

The services will be provided notably in Morocco, but also in Bahrain, Chile, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Oman, Taiwan, Thailand and Turkey. The contract is to run until June 30, 2029.
It provides for consulting, engineering and technical assistance services intended to support foreign users until they have their own capabilities.
The Pentagon specifies that Morocco benefits from this arrangement under the US Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program. An initial tranche of $297,008 is committed at the time of the award.
The $31.29 million nevertheless corresponds to the maximum value of the contract for all the countries concerned. It is therefore not an allocation reserved for Morocco.
Morocco already involved in a previous contract
The US release does not specify the type of aircraft concerned. A previous contract awarded to Lockheed Martin in June 2023, however, explicitly concerned technical assistance for F-16s and already included Morocco.

This $22.9 million contract was due to end in June 2026. The new contract now extends the assistance until June 2029, with Morocco again among the beneficiaries.
