UK Military Aid Morocco Police Training Equipment 54000 Pounds
The United Kingdom has approved the supply to Morocco of equipment designed to strengthen training against improvised explosive devices. The material, valued at 54,000 pounds sterling, is intended to benefit the specialized center of the Directorate General of National Security.
British aid is intended for the explosives and ammunition neutralization training center of the DGNS. It focuses on equipment to combat improvised explosive devices, commonly referred to by the English acronym C-IED.

The operation appears in the 2025 annual report of the British government on strategic export controls, presented to Parliament on July 15, 2026. London values the material at 54,000 pounds sterling, an amount rounded to the nearest thousand.
Financing to bring London and Rabat closer together
The purchase was financed by the Defence Assistance Fund, an internal resource of the British Ministry of Defence intended to develop and maintain bilateral defense relations in service of the government’s broader objectives.
The Moroccan case was sponsored by the service of the Ministry of Defence responsible for cooperation in the field of explosives neutralization. Similar funding of 45,000 pounds was approved for a peace support school located in Nairobi, while the Nigerian military is to receive comparable equipment valued at 46,000 pounds.
The United Kingdom clarifies that each proposal for donation of military or dual-use material is examined on a case-by-case basis, according to the same criteria and with the same degree of rigor as commercial export requests.

In total, the report lists eight donations of controlled materials approved in 2025 outside Ukraine. It notes, however, that authorization does not constitute confirmation of actual delivery of the material. Available data were finalized on March 26, 2026.
