EU Urged to Enforce Morocco Trade Deal Amid Tomato Price Concerns
The Spanish government has asked the European Commission to ensure compliance with the trade agreement with Morocco, said Fernando Miranda, Secretary General of Agriculture and Food, on Wednesday.

Addressing the problem of the drop in tomato prices by local producers in Almería, faced with the massive import of Moroccan tomatoes, the Secretary General of Agriculture and Food recalled the European Commission’s duty to ensure compliance with the trade agreement with Morocco.
These statements come after the warning from Hortyfruta against "a serious deterioration" of the European tomato market, denouncing the "uncontrolled" entry into the EU of tomatoes from third countries, including Morocco.
