A 61-year-old Moroccan man found dead in central Paris with signs of blows on his body
A 61-year-old Moroccan homeless man was found dead Thursday in the parking area of the Forum des Halles, in the heart of Paris. Signs of violence were found, and an investigation has been opened to determine the exact causes of death.
The body was discovered at around 1:45 p.m. after a witness raised the alarm. When they arrived, emergency responders could only confirm the death, reports Le Parisien. The victim, originally from Morocco, lived on the streets.

An assault four days earlier
Another homeless person present at the scene told investigators that the Moroccan man had allegedly been assaulted four days earlier by another person who also lived on the streets. The alleged perpetrator of the assault has not yet been identified, and any possible link to the death remains to be established.
The Paris prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation, and an autopsy is to be carried out to determine the cause of death.
