Brussels Airport is expecting massive crowds this summer with 5.2 million passengers. At the heart of this dynamic, Morocco is establishing itself among the flagship destinations, boosting traffic departing from the Belgian capital.
Morocco is once again among the top summer choices departing from Brussels. According to Brussels Airport, the airport expects 5.2 million passengers in July and August, 4% more than last summer. In the list of most sought-after sunny destinations, Morocco appears alongside Spain, Turkey, Greece and Italy.

The summer peak will begin as early as Friday, June 26, with 82,000 passengers expected. The busiest day is scheduled for July 20, with over 90,000 travelers. In total, Brussels Airport will offer 180 direct destinations, including new intercontinental connections to São Paulo, Kilimanjaro and Halifax. Service to China and Hong Kong has also been strengthened, with six direct destinations.

To handle this traffic, the airport and its partners are planning additional staff, temporary check-in counters and a new automatic baggage drop zone for certain airlines. Travelers are advised to arrive two hours before a flight in the Schengen area and three hours before a flight outside the Schengen area. Rules on cabin liquids remain unchanged, with containers limited to 100 ml in a one-liter transparent bag.
