Casablanca gained the A350 in July and will return to the 777 in October

The change appears in the latest booking data analyzed by AeroRoutes]. Etihad is maintaining seven weekly flights in each direction between Abu Dhabi and Casablanca’s Mohammed V Airport.

The airline had stepped up service on this route on 1 July, replacing the Boeing 787-9 with the A350-1000. After less than four months in service, the latter will therefore give way to the 777-300ER for the first part of the winter season.

The schedule calls for a daily departure from Abu Dhabi at 2:05 a.m. as flight EY757, arriving in Casablanca at 6:20 a.m. The return flight, EY758, will leave Morocco at 8:35 a.m. and land in the United Arab Emirates at 7:40 p.m. Times are local.

A different cabin for passengers

The replacement affects more than just the aircraft model. Etihad’s A350-1000 features a newer cabin with 44 Business suites equipped with sliding doors, 18.5-inch screens and wireless charging. Etihad’s Boeing 777] uses a different generation of cabin.

The airline operates several 777-300ER configurations, with two or three classes. The code entered in the booking system does not yet make it possible to determine which one will be sent to Casablanca, or whether the change will increase or reduce the number of available seats.

Etihad has given no reason for this reassignment. The daily frequency and schedule remain unchanged: only the aircraft scheduled for the route is being replaced.

The published schedule runs through 31 January 2027. AeroRoutes has not yet confirmed which aircraft will be used for the rest of the winter season on the Casablanca–Abu Dhabi route.
