Daesh (Islamic State) threatens Morocco
The Islamic State organization calls for the burning of churches and synagogues during the Easter weekend. This threat specifically targets Morocco, in reaction to Israel’s closure of the Al-Aqsa Mosque during the month of Ramadan.
In its latest weekly bulletin al-Naba, the terrorist group urges its supporters to carry out attacks in Europe and the Maghreb. Morocco is explicitly cited among the potential targets for these attacks during the Easter celebrations. According to The Mirror, the organization advocates the use of arson against religious buildings.

This bloody directive comes after the prolonged closure of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Al Quds by Israeli forces. This measure, motivated by security reasons, prevented thousands of worshippers from accessing the third holiest site in Islam during Ramadan. These restrictions also affected Christian sites, such as the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
In addition to Morocco, the threats target Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Syria, and Tunisia. Daesh already claims around sixty victims in fifteen recent operations. The organization is relying on the religious tensions in Jerusalem to mobilize its supporters and justify a new wave of international violence.
